If you live in Pittsburgh, you’re aware of the buzz around the Lawrenceville neighborhood right now.  Tamala & Mike’s home really captures the energy of the individuals and organizations that are restoring the neighborhood at what feels like a rapid pace.  The interior has a great mix of antique and modern pieces, including some Construction Junction finds that are really amazing, like their front inside entry door with sidelights and transom .  The renovation is about halfway finished, and I plan on checking back with them after the next phase is completed, for updates and more photos to post here.  The custom glass you see here (kitchen backsplash, powder room wall) was created by Meeghan Triggs from Atelier Glass Studio in Lawrenceville.  The kitchen was designed by Erin Martier at Oread Kitchen Design.  The original floors were refinished by Ben Smith.  Scroll to the end for a couple of ‘before photos’.  Enjoy.
